Some of you have already gotten the 2008 UCR fees (user carrier registration) forms.
They read that the power units and trailer's are taxable. This is just another form of getting money from us. It is a federal law. Most of you will be getting this form from Pennsylvania. If you have any questions before you fill out the paper work call me and I will help you. Make sure that you check your last form 150 Report.

Also be aware that there is some changes as to safe stats. CSA 2010 is now being implemented.

Also I would strongly urge you to secure a report of your companies health. Go to www.safersys.org and get this report it will cost you about 25.00. I met with a client today and picked up 2 items on their snapshot that should not have been on there.

Update on UCR Unified Carrier Registration; act of 2005. This new tax replaces the Single State Registration System (SSRS) which was terminated by Congress on January 1 2007. Md. does not participate so that is the reason you are getting the form's from other states who are collecting this tax.

Also HEADS UP there is a step up of road checks slated to start in June. Make sure that all paper work and emergency things like reflectors; fire extinguishers fuses etc are in your vehicles.
